Rio Dorado & Rio Juramento
Nothing like sight fishing for Golden Dorado in a crystal clear small jungle creek in Argentina!
This trip has it it all! Small rivers & large rivers with excellent Golden Dorado flyfishing. With 6 full days of fishing along with amazing food and wine, we’re sure to have an incredible experience. Lodging has a fan and cot along with excellent food. No it’s not a luxury lodge the first 4 nights yet comfortable in some truly wild & beautiful locations. The last 3 nights are in a very nice lodge!
Not only is the fishing spectacular but most days you’ll be joined by macaws & birds of every kind, butterflies and an almost overwhelming and incredible amount of biodiversity. $3,400 which covers everything except flight/meals to/from Salta, fishing equipment, and tips to staff (recommend 10%). This includes all hotels, travel, food/alcohol, etc.
Itinerary below (agenda is subject to last minute minor changes):
Nov 2 & 3: Fly from home to Salta, Argentina arriving in Salta at some point on November 3rd. Get picked up and driven to a local hotel.
Nov 4-6: Four days of flyfishing the Rio Dorado, a small tributary of the Juramento river, for Golden Dorado. Epic hiking and sight fishing opportunities in a world class jungle setting. Smaller and remote camp (pictured below) but still with excellent amenities.
Nov 7: Fish the Rio Dorado but leave early as there is a 3.5 hour drive to the Rio Juramento and the better lodging.
Nov 8-9: Two days of floating and fishing the world famous Juramento River for giant Golden Dorado. After hiking and fishing small water, it’s time to head to the big river for two days of floating and targeting more and potentially larger Golden Dorado.
Nov 10 & 11: Depart Salta on the November 10th and travel home via your personal route/schedule.
